The type of filling does not affect thewarmth of a winter duvet. Sampur offers you two types of filling for your duvet:

natural filling, for bedding indownor goose feather

THEsynthetic filling, made of polyester

The choice will be made according to your preferences and your budget. The higher the percentage of down, the more puffy and fluffy the duvet will become.

What size should you choose for your warm duvet?

As with any duvet, it must be chosen according to the size of the bed. The duvet must protrude 20 to 50 cm on each side of the bed so that you do not feel any air entering once lying down. For example, for a 140 * 200 cm mattress we recommend aduvet size 200 * 200 cm. Therefore, for a 200 mattress, we recommend a duvet measuring 240 * 260 cm.

What weight for our warm duvets?

For awarm natural duvet(feathers and down), you need to count on around 270 g/m² for a winter model. For the same insulation performance, thewarm synthetic duvetwill be a little heavier, 350 to 500 g/m².

Caring for your warm duvet

When winter comes to an end, we recommend storing your warm duvet in a protective cover to prevent dust from accumulating. At the end of the season, washing your duvet helps maintain it and eliminates bacteria, skin scales, mites and dust. If youwash your winter duvetIn the washing machine, use a program and temperature adapted to its filling. Synthetic duvets can withstand temperatures between 40°C and 60°C. On the other hand, duvets made of goose down or feathers are more sensitive. Prefer a washing temperature not exceeding 30°C. Although longer, natural drying is recommended. Be careful to let your duvet dry well, otherwise you risk storing it while it is still damp and this would cause mold.
